Just saw this great activity on Spell Outloud. You can buy an Alphabet sensory tub on Etsy. But you can also adapt and make it yourself. Get a plastic tub or bin and fill with rice, then with magnetic or other toy letters as well as printed out letters. Have the toddler look and feel through the bin and for letters. You can also bury other mini toys, and as they find the toys name them. Another idea on Totally Tots is to fill the bin with one letter at a time. For example if the letter you want to study is A, fill the bin with A things, whether letter A toys, toys of objects that start with A, and printed out A's. I'm excited to begin looking for things to put my letter boxes together!
